Day One
Today has been a lazy day hanging out with my husband and the best friends a gal could ever hope to have. We partied like it was 1999 toga style last night and it was truly a blast.
I'm happy to report that I practiced indulgence as opposed to excess. True to the word of my last post, I wrote my burdens on a piece of paper and burned them.
As you can see it was an emotional experience. But, it was freeing in a way that I cannot really explain.
I was surrounded by people who love me and who are all completely in support of my endeavor. For me, it was a very meaningful moment.
So... today my journey begins. I'm in Ohio and it's snowing like crazy, which is something this Tennessee girl rarely gets to see.
I am practicing restraint as much as possible. There's a lot of food around, but I'm keeping myself in check. I've been drinking plenty of water and choosing the healthiest options for food available to me.
Enjoy your New Year's Day.
Cheers!
Margaret
Happy 2010 to all
